Jura Vaskeviciute interest in Eastern cultures and struck by the art of calligraphy. Until this day the artist preserved her love for the type font. Skills in calligraphy can be traced in her works of textiles, ceramics and paintings. After studying Japanese for a while, in these later years she went deep into Chinese painting techniques, which now are often used in her contemporary works. Her paintings require exceptional accuracy and many hours of studying, therefore it could be compared to meditation.
