Birute Valiukiene was born in Minkunai village at 2nd of April, 1956, now she lives in Utena, Lithuania. She started her as artist career just in 2000 encouraged by her colleague painter Laimonas Smergelis. From 2004 she belongs to Lithuanian folk artists union and from 2011 she has official status of artist. She had 5 personal exhibitions and participated in more that 50 group exhibitions not only in Lithuania, but in Latvia, Russia.
